Golden Bay

This is a vibrant zany and unforgettable part of Nelson. It is reported to be an alternative lifestyle locality. The trip over the Takaka Hill winds through old granite and marble landscape, with sinkholes and caving areas. The top of the Takaka Hill gives an amazing outlook over the Nelson area.

Golden Bay is connected to the rest of Nelson district with Abel Tasman National Park, the northern point at Totaranui.
